Managerial / Supervisory/ Operational Responsibilities or roles:
Reinsurance Placement & Execution
- Support the structuring, marketing, and placement of life reinsurance business (treaty and facultative) for clients.
- Prepare high-quality placement submissions, including underwriting data, experience analysis, and presentations to reinsurers.
- Engage reinsurers to secure competitive terms, pricing, and capacity aligned with client needs.
- Assist in renewal negotiations and program restructuring.
Business Development & Market Intelligence
- Conduct business development initiatives by identifying opportunities within existing and prospective clients.
- Proposal development and client acquisition efforts.
- Maintain awareness of market developments, pricing trends, and new reinsurance solutions.
- Support innovation in product development and risk solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
- Client Servicing & Relationship Management
- Serve as a key support contact for cedants, ensuring timely and professional delivery of reinsurance solutions.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with reinsurers and other market participants.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, and strategy discussions.
- Ensure high service standards and responsiveness to client needs.
Portfolio Management & Analytics
- Analyze client portfolios, including claims experience, retention levels, and treaty performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize reinsurance structures and profitability.
- Support preparation of client reports, renewal packs, and market presentations.
- Monitor market trends and benchmarking data to inform client strategies.
Administration, Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure accurate preparation and maintenance of reinsurance documentation, including slips, treaties, and endorsements.

- Support audits, due diligence, and internal reporting requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation of placements and client interactions.
Support Claims & Recoveries Management
- Support the claims resource to coordinate reinsurance claims notifications and documentation with clients and reinsurers.
- Monitor and follow up on recoveries to ensure timely settlement.
- Resolve discrepancies and support reconciliation of reinsurance accounts.

Minimum level of academic qualification, skills and knowledge required to perform effectively in the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Insurance or relevant Business related field
- Exposure to reinsurance placement, underwriting, actuarial, or portfolio analysis is preferred.
- Good understanding of life insurance products and reinsurance structures.
- Good understanding of market dynamics.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Minimum level of professional qualification required to perform effectively in the role:
